Reaching Edinburgh Airport by road

Edinburgh Airport is conveniently located close to the M8 and M9 motorways, just off the A8 Edinburgh to Glasgow road.  From the A8, the airport access road turns north between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts. It is clearly signposted.

Dropping off/picking up passengers

When dropping off passengers at the airport, follow the signs for the Set Down Zone, which can be found opposite the terminal, next to the multi-storey car park. When collecting passengers, park in the Pick Up Zone on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park. Approach lanes for these two zones are signposted from the airport approach road. There is a two-hour maximum stay here for picking up passengers.

Blue Badge holders or their drivers benefit from 15 minutes of FREE parking in the Short Stay multi-storey car park – present your blue badge and ticket at the desk on the ground floor of the car park.

Travelling by taxi

There are separate ranks outside the terminal for Edinburgh Airport Taxis (Tel. 0131 663 6526, website: www.edinburghairporttaxis.com) or Executive Onward Travel (Tel. 0131 333 2255), and licensed black cabs.

By bus

Edinburgh Airport has no railway station of its own but is linked to the city’s Waverley Bridge and Haymarket stations by the Airlink 100 express bus service (Tel. 0131 555 6363, website: www.flybybus.com). An additional Ocean Terminal to airport service (bus 35) is provided by Lothian Buses (Tel. 0131 555 6363), while Edinburgh Shuttle (Tel. 0845 500 5000, www.edinburghshuttle.com) runs a regular mini-bus service between the city centre and the airport.
