If you’re catching an early flight, or returning too late to travel home the same day, a night in a nearby hotel could be the answer. Fortunately, there’s a range of places nearby, with rooms to suit all tastes and budgets.

Although you can book when you arrive, you’re more likely to find a good deal by phoning ahead or using a price comparison/booking site such as the Airport Hotel Shop.

The nearest hotel to Heathrow is the Hilton, which can be reached in a five-minute walk (via a covered walkway) from Terminal 4. It’s just 20 minutes by train from central London and offers a choice of three restaurants, a fitness centre and indoor pool and all the luxuries you’d expect from a Hilton.
