Getting to/from
Reaching Manchester Airport by road
The airport is easily accessed via junction 5 of the M56 motorway, which links up with the M60 (Manchester’s ring road) at junction 4. Clear signposts are provided to help you reach all three terminals.
Setting down passengers
For Terminal 1, exit the M56 at junction 5, turn into Outwood Lane at the roundabout and then take the slip road on the left to reach the main departure drop-off point in the terminal.
To drop off passengers for Terminal 2, leave the M56 at junction 5, then turn right at the roundabout to go along the elevated Atlanta Avenue and reach the drop-off point.
To drop passengers off for Terminal 3, exit the M56 at junction 5, turn into Outwood Lane, continue to the next roundabout and take the first exit on the left, then follow the road round to the drop-off point.
Petrol stations
There is a BP petrol station on Palma Avenue, which runs parallel to Atlanta Avenue and is accessed via the first roundabout reached after exiting the M56 at junction 5.
By taxi
Taxis can easily be found near the Arrivals hall of each of the three terminals.
